"Close but no Cigar"
After I shot my buck in Minnesota at Fair Chase Outfitters, I think ol’ Patrick was feeling a little nervous about getting caught up! So he took advantage of the situation when I was at home watching the kids to have team member Chad Nolte come out and video him. They decided to set up in the same spot over the water hole that I had killed my buck just a few days before because Pat had such a great feeling about this spot!
That night they had a few nice bucks in, including a wide 3 ½ year old 10 pointer offering them a perfect over the shoulder shot but Pat elected to pass the buck! The next evening they set up in the same spot and the same buck came in to the water hole 20 yards away and this time Chad was trying to convince Pat into shooting him!! Sorry boys, no such luck Pat passed on him again for the second time! Needless to say I guess he wasn’t hurting too bad that I was in the lead! These guys had some great encounters but as great deer hunter’s do, Pat passed on this buck hoping to see him next year, knowing he is going to be a dandy!
Their Minnesota time was up for now because I was getting a bow back in my hands and heading to Buffalo County, Wisconsin. We hope everyone is having great luck this season! Don’t forget to send in your viewer pics so we can add them on our website!
